Case Synopsis
Designer Sebastian Mancinelli was set to make his grand debut in the jewelry world at a Las Vegas fashion show, with his $1.2 million necklace as the centerpiece. But before the night was over, the necklace had vanished.
The model who was wearing it? Accused of stealing it and found dead the following morning. Sebastian was quick to point the finger at her, but was she really the thief, or was someone using her as a convenient scapegoat? Who had the motive to kill, and where did the missing masterpiece go?

The solution is accessed online through a QR code on the instruction sheet. Scan the code to access the dedicated quiz page for your case and submit your answers. Answer correctly to unlock the full case analysis, including the solution and a breakdown of the evidence. You can attempt the quiz as many times as needed!
Absolutely! CrimeBoard cases are designed to challenge players of different ages and experience levels, with varying difficulty levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Our beginner cases are suitable for ages 12 and up, while intermediate and advanced cases are intended for players aged 15+ and older due to graphic images or mature & violent themes. Check each case’s age recommendation before playing.
Solving time varies depending on the case’s difficulty, the number of players, and their investigative skills. Based on customer feedback, estimated solving times are:
- Beginner: 1–3 hours
- Intermediate: 1-6 hours
- Advanced: 1-8 hours
These are estimates, not time limits. Take your time, examine the evidence, and follow the clues wherever they lead!
We recommend starting with Tyler Martinez, our beginner-level case. It includes the most guidance, hints, and instructions to help you understand how to approach an investigation and build your detective skills. Your first case can feel overwhelming at first, even if you're a true-crime enthusiast, so starting with a guided investigation is the best way to get familiar with the experience.
Playing in a group? For groups of more than 3 players, we recommend The Missing Necklace. If your group has more than 5 players, you can also consider Jasmine Reyes, our first advanced-level case.
Keep in mind that advanced cases come with no hints or instructions and become progressively more difficult. Choose your challenge wisely, Detective!
